[ This text comes fairly shortly after Aventurine has sent her yet another lavish gift filled with expensive items from all corners of the cosmos. The first time he'd asked her what she wanted after listing out several items he'd seen, she'd jokingly replied that she wanted all of it, as was her usual nature. To her surprise, those items ended up being shipped to the Astral Express the next day.

March had been so envious, she'd refused to speak to her for an entire day. That had been a bit of a pickle to deal with.

But then, he texted her again, asking what else she wanted every time he went shopping. The second time, she'd declined somewhat sharply (she'd been in a rush at the time) and he'd left her alone without a retort. That made her feel bad, so the third time, she asked for something small and cheap. Somehow, she wound up getting the most expensive version of said item, and she couldn't even hide it from the rest of the crew.

It was... Hard to say no to him. Hard not because she wanted the gifts, but because of the shift in Aventurine's attitude towards her. He seemed so lonely—it was like he was trying to buy her time and attention with these gifts.

But after the fifth time, she was certain the net worth of the objects in her room crossed ten million credits. It was frankly too much, and even Himeko and Welt were starting to voice their concerns about the Stoneheart. She had to get to the bottom of this. ]

I was happy the first few times you sent me a gift, but... Don't you think this is starting to get a little excessive?

If you're worried about the amount, don't be. I have more than I know what to do with if I am being honest.

[ Since that must be the issue here. Sure, Kakavasha has spent quite a bit on the little Stellaron girl, but it's nothing he can't afford. The Ten Stonehearts make more than enough for an extremely lavish lifestyle and then some. They are some of the highest ranking employees in the IPC.

Unfortunately, Stelle is also not wrong. There is that bit of loneliness, the perpetual kind that has never really went away since the passing of his sister. While Kakavasha might not be actively thinking about the gifts as a means of attention seeking... It might be an excuse used to be able to maintain that connection since he really wouldn't know how to do that naturally. ]

I can stop if it's too troublesome.

It's not that.

[ It is that. As in, it's too much. But that wasn't her main concern. At this point, she couldn't help but be concerned for him. Many people liked to confide in her for various reasons, but Aventurine was one of the few she felt compelled to reach out to. Didn't he have anyone else to support him? It felt like he was all alone. ]

I think March is going to strangle me if I keep getting gifts. You should see her face every time I receive a package from you.

[ Trying to keep it light and joking, because that's what she's best at, but... she hopes he doesn't perceive her refusal of the gifts as total rejection. ]

I can always send something to the entirety of the Astral Express to extend my gratitude if jealousy is the issue.

[ He kind of knows it isn't that. But if it would help some of the awkwardness, it's not like he minds. Though Kakavasha isn't a fool. Clearly the gestures make Miss Stellaron uncomfortable but at the same time she doesn't exactly want to refuse.

That's a relief at least. ]

Not that jealousy is a bad thing. You don't have a whole lot personal possessions, am I right?

[ She wants to reject that offer immediately, but an idea strikes her mind. It's an idea she'll get back to a bit later though. ]

It's not. She might be jealous but she won't hate me because of it. And I don't need that much. I'm happy with what I have.

But I want to ask. Why?

[ Why send her gifts? Does he do this to everyone he knows? Is it just her? ]

I wouldn't think she would. You Nameless are a pretty tight bunch. Such loyalty to one another isn't common out here in the vast cosmos.

[ Why, she askes. And he knows exactly what Stelle means by asking. But that doesn't mean that Kakavasha has to play along. ]

Well I figure that your friends also did me a solid and I haven't paid them back properly. So, really, sending the crew a gift is the least I can do.

[ That's not what Stelle is asking. ]

[ That's definitely not what she's asking, and they both know it. Alright, if he's not willing to divulge his true intentions, she won't push. She's curious, but not at his expense. ]

Yeah, I think they'd all appreciate getting something. Want me to help you pick out gifts?

[ That was the idea she had just a few minutes ago. If he wanted to keep in contact with her, what better way than to hang out in person? Unless he was so busy he couldn't hang out for even a day, but then he'd be a bit of a fool, wouldn't he? To send gifts for her attention and then reject it when she tries to give it to him. ]

[ That's certainly not what he thought she would say. He had thought that Stelle would either call him out or try to politely refuse again.

Not suggest a meet up. ]

Thankfully, I am on something of a vacation. Do you even know of a location, Miss Stellaron?

[ She could, but where would that get her? He doesn't need that right now anyway. What he wants is just a friend, right? She can do that easily. ]

[ She's counting on you to pick a good place to go shopping Mr. Rich Guy! ]

[ Which he will send coordinates! So now how to convince Pom-Pom... ]

[ Unfortunately, the Astral Express doesn't work that way, but Stelle has her ways. Space Anchors are aplenty across the cosmos, and there are ways to access deactivated ones remotely, though it's not a trick that should often be used.

But Himeko and Welt have confirmed a trip to this specific location would be safe, so she has approval!!

Aventurine will receive a text the following day. ]
